sorry that I missed the meeting .. but some additional notes.
regarding TCM:
I put a link to our old TCM-wishes to the OpenTCM wiki.
http://urtax.ms.mff.cuni.cz/tcm/w/pmwiki.php/Main/Requirements
This could be a starting point to review the current TSM functionality
and see, if pour wishes are already implemented.
Furthermore you could talk to Chris Lukasiak (who was working a while
with TCM and trying to put more complex testcases in) and Stefan Balzer
(who attended last years presentation of TCM in Essen). I think, both
could give some input, why the current TCM is not the perfect solution
for hosting complex test cases.
Btw. one idea of Stefan that comes to my mind: Allow a "random" test
scenario or at least some cases of a scenario to be random.
Another idea was to make a survey with those native lang communities who
are using TCM for a while. Problem here is that this needs to be
prepared and should be in the native language of the testers. Most
request I heard were about the user interface, what is not very
intuitive. (This is not a technical question but one of UI design). But
many testers hesitate to give feedback, as they cannot express their
needs in English.
On of my own wishes: seperate user management from the TCM system.
Ideally OOo website, Issue TRacker, TCM, qatrack, OOo wiki and whatever
system we use shold use the same repository of users and roles (ok, more
a dream than a wish ;-) )
Regarding CWS tests within the community - Joost has mentioned cws
mergede01. This seems like a success story, we can learn from :-)
But I'd like to mention, that thanks for that success need to go
(mainly) to Jacqueline Rahemipour, who coordinated the tests within the
community, prepared and assigend the tasks, collected the results and
spent hours analyzing the reports.
There is a short survey ongoing what will hopefully help to improve the
QA testing of CWSes.
