Hi Zhu Lihau,
for each bug fix an issue has to exist. In this issue a bug description
should be available to reproduce the bug. If there are more areas which
has to be tested it is often documented in the issue or in EIS (in the
description for the CWS). So the documentation in the issue and in EIS
are the background for you to identify needed test scenarios (manually
and the set of automated test scripts).
Additionally inside Sun QA we decided to run all Category-0 tests [1]
from automated testing with VCL TestTool on each CWS to identify
unforeseeable side effects.
Regards,
Thorsten
[1] : Category-0 tests are all test scripts where Category is '0'

Hi,
If a developer modified some core code to fix a bug, it might influence several parts of the software. Will developer tell us tester which parts of the software need a focused testing? or should we start a complete regression testing to find out the new bugs?
Thank you!
Best regards,
zhulihua
