The status bar language control should be ENABLED only in a "meaningful
situations". That means only when the cursor position is in text or when
text content is selected. For example in the document body, in a writer
document table, or in a writer text box).

For the users point of view, a greyed-out (or, as in this case,
invisible) entry means that the control is disabled.

However, it is not really disabled, because the nenu still comes up when
the comntrol is clicked. It doesn't do anything, but this is irritating
for the user. I wrote an issue for this:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=84939

And once Ilooked at this with the developer ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), I also
wrote another issue for the main menu entries not being disabled when
i.e. a frame is selected:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=84940

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Stefan
