I'm wondering if the README file on http://www.openoffice.org/welcome/readme.html and included in the installation set is still valid for the 3.0 release.

I created http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoRelease30_Readme with the content of the old readme, feel free to work on this now,
Thanks - John

Problem is that the cvs file which is used to generate the readme.txt included in the installation (.../readme.xrm) contains more than one readme - i.e. it has operating system or processor specific parts which are processed by a xsl filter during building process.

i.e. the necessity for X11 could be deleted concerning the Mac OS X part - but this one is not in your wiki page.

So changing this file - at least the distributed one - is not so easy.
