Ours IssueTracker has a load of issue with Status unconfirmed. Many
of this issue are maybe no issues. I propose to make a clean up
team. Wat you think about this idea?
Always a good idea. Although, as Caio also wrote, attendance often
is low. But that must not stop us from starting, trying, and
hopefully growing :-)
Yes, becauce it's realy hard work. And it's allmost not spectaculary.
But in 5000 open issues its more complicate to find a Duplicate as by
500 (ok, we will never have a nummer how is so small) A load of people
think, this work is for nothing. but thats a important work too.
I think, we can make same clean up rounds on the IRC Channels. The
problem is, for many issues we need help from other devs. On IRC we
can talk live about the problems
A other idea is to create a wiki page. We can put the problem
issues on it, and other devs can hav a look on it. If the Issue is
edited, we can remuve it from the Wiki page.
Hmm. Strong doubt here. There already is a system to keep track off
issues: IssueTracker :-) Creating another one beside, looks as
double work.
Maybe just a message on IRC as "I take issues #89000 - 89015" is
clear enough?
Yes, If you can edit a issue alone. but often you have not the right
system or OS you don't realy know wat to do with the issue. However,
sametimes it's carefull to discuss about a issue. If you discuss about
on the issue, only the involved persons get a message. The IRC is for
my point of view the best medium for it. The problem is the time
difference.
I will ask now, wat you think about the ideas. Are you willing to
help?
When time allows ... I'll join.
Thanks a load
Greetings Raphael
