Hi Clytie,

Actually, I can input Chinese Character in Testtool interface below Windows
Operation System.
It just needs to save the scripts with the format UTF-8. The attachment is the
screenshot.
(May be the attachement not allowed for mailing lists, I also send the mail to
your own mailbox)
Therefore, when I edit the scripts in Fedora, I think it also can input. But It
cannot display normally.
I will try the method given by Joerg Sievers.

And, The version of Fedora I used is Fedora 8. Thank you!

Best Wishes
Zhang Hong

testtool devs, have we had any Chinese input in testtool before? I
know I translated the testtool interface into Vietnamese, so that
definitely handles UTF-8 [1]. Has the interface been translated into
Chinese? Do we know anything about UTF-8 not being fully-supported
when editing data in testtool?

Zhang Hong, when you're editing scripts in testtool, is that in the
testtool interface? Please show us a screenshot.

Also please tell us which version of Fedora you are using. Since
you're using gEdit, I assume you're running GNOME, which has full
support for Chinese (all main language-branches). (GNOME language-
support is extensive and long-standing.)

[1] Vietnamese is a test case for Unicode support, due to its combined
diacritics and diverse glyph range.
