Hi Thomas --
I am not familiar with IceWeasel, but if Firefox plug-ins work with it
try the "User Agent Switcher" add-on. It adds a submenu to the Tools
menu that allows you to spoof whatever browser you need, and then you
can switch back to default usual user agent string by just choosing it
as a menu item. This is much easier than editing your profile and having
to quit & restart your browser.
I use User Agent Switcher when I wish to spoof a Windows browser so that
I can download a Win installer for a client, although I myself work on
Mac. It does not come with Linux UA strings by default but you can add
any UA string you wish. With a little bit of research or help from
friends on this list, you can create the UA string you need to trick the
bouncer.
User Agent Switcher can be downloaded at
<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59>
hope that helps,
kazar
