Hallo Mechtilde,
perhaps you found a bug in IssueTracker or it is more complex as I
thought. It seems it is impossible to close issues in status
RESOLVED in one step. It seems that IssueTracker allows only to
close multiple issues when there are in status 'verified'.
I never did that in the past and doesn't found out that restriction.
So when you want to close these issue at once, you have to go 2 steps
instead of one. Set it to 'VERIFIED' in the first step and close it in
the second step. You can insert some text, that the intermediate-status
(VERIFIED) isn't so confusing.
But it looks like that someone closed nearly all 'workforme', 'invalid'
and 'wontfix' issues some times ago. ;-)

Hi,
yesterday I had a meeting with some senior members of the German QA
community, Mechtilde and Jacqueline, and I was wondering why they do not
know about the feature in IssueTracker to change states and fields for
more than one issues at once. They thought it is only possible for Sun
engineers with their own tools. But it isn't right. This can be done
with IssueTracker very easily.
After many tests I did I can say yes it is possible to close multiple
issues.
But only under one condition. you need very exact queries to do so.
So for me i need much more time to formulate the right query then to
close e.g nearly 200 issues which have the resolution worksforme,
invalid and duplicate.
One reason may be that I'm not so familiar with all needed flags I need
for an exact query.
Here you can find some information about it :

For Information about my test are at the Talk pageto the wiki page above.
Kind regards
Mechtilde
