Hi Anders,

maybe the following document will give you some more steps:
http://qa.openoffice.org/helping.html

If you want to contribute to the QA project then there are different ways how to proceed:

1. confirming issues within the bug (issue) tracking system "IssueTracker". Links to unconfirmed issues are available here:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issuelinks.html
If you're a bit more experienced in working on issues then you might want to have the "canconfirm" role configured. How to get it is described here: http://qa.openoffice.org/helping.html

2. working together with application specific QA teams (Writer/Math, Calc, Draw/Impress, Chart, Base, Framework). Just leave a note within this mailing list if you're interested to join such a team. I believe one of the team members will pick you up here...

3. If you're a programmer you could join the API Automation QA team and check the application programming interface (API)

4. You could join the "VCL Testool automation team". The testtool does remote automation of the application by running some sort of BASIC scripts and using the application "VCL TestTool". Volunteers are always welcome.

5. You could join one of the native language teams and work on release sanity checks of regular releases. As your email address looks like you're coming from Sweden you could help the Swedish native language project http://sv.openoffice.org/ or you could ask Per Ericsson pereriksson[at]openoffice.org if he needs help.

And if you like to communicate regarding QA in OpenOffice.org then please communicate. There are never wrong questions to ask because other people may learn from your questions.

Kind regards, Joost

Hello!

I don't know who to adress my problem to so I'm trying out here.
I'm trying to participate in the QA-program for testers but am having problems with the website. I can't open up the page participation steps and a few other ones any more. So, I am not able to go on further in my education to a tester at open office. If this ain't a issue for you could you please tell me who to get in touch with.?
