Hi Marcus,
I know this is the back door way of sending things, but I am not sure I
have a bug or are being stupid.
You should ask in an user mailing list or forum, whether your problem is
a bug.
I have been working with the spreadsheet
and charting and find I am not allowed to scale the x-axis in a line
chart,
So it is. The x-axis in a line chart is a category axis. So it is
useful, if your axis labels are 'Januar', 'Februar' or so.
which is essential as my x-axis data is not uniformly spaced. I
have attached the spreadsheet I am working on so you can see my problem.
The only chart with 'mathematically' axis are XY and Bubble. You need an
XY-chart, not a line chart.
If I am right, then this is a real problem but I cannot convince myself
I am not just being stupid. I am registered with Open Office and use it
exclusively, presently 3.2 under XP on an ASUS Laptop.
If I can get it to work, it is a method of analysing data using least
mean squares method to fit a second order polynomial. Might be useful.
You might have a look at the part "The polynomial regression equation"
in the chapter "Trend Lines" in the help.
kind regards
