I've verified that the packaging problem has been solved.
There's a regression (introduced in 727362) that causes the qpid-config
utility to fail when using Python versions earlier than 2.5. This has
been fixed on the trunk and on the M4 branch but is not in the RC8 tag.
It might be prudent to pick this up for the final M4.
