Replaced readlink by using dirname to determine the directory the qpid-.server
or qpid-passwd is ran from and changeing the directory 1 level up. Also
eliminated exporting ${QPID_HOME}/bin to PATH as not needed should we adopt
this mechanism. The broker starts ok now on my Mac and Linux as well.
