byteDepth is only uint32 ------------------------ Key: QPID-3465 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-3465 Project: Qpid Issue Type: Bug Components: C++ Broker Affects Versions: 0.10 Reporter: JAkub Scholz Priority: Minor
Hi, It seems that the queue schema handles the byteDepth parameter only as uint32 (eventually count32 in management-schema.xml). Given the possibilities for queue sizes, the uint32 seems to be insufficient. I already run into situations, when the uint32 is not enough: msgDepth 30000155 byteDepth 3421958148 byteTotalEnqueues 24896794628 byteTotalDequeues 0 It makes the byteDepth value unreliable and thus useless. Of course, the actual depth can be always calculated from the byteTotalEnqueues and byteTotalDequeues values, but it would be probably easier if already the byteDepth value would be uint64.
