Gordon Sim commented on QPID-3664:
----------------------------------
The advantage of the generalised --argument option is that it will always work
for any argument. The current approach of having special options, often with
names that are subtly different from the actual queue/exchange arguments, is in
my view (a) a source of confusion and (b) a source of extra unnecessary work.
> qpid-config needs to better handle setting up a Last Value Queue

> The qpid-config utility misrepresents LVQ in its command syntax. The only
> way to create a new-style LVQ is to use the generalized --argument option.
> The --order=lvq and --order=lvq-no-browse options should be deprecated and
> replaced by an option to set up new-style LVQs and supply the name of the key
> header.
