Both C++ and Python have a common API that is commonly referred to as the "Qpid
API". There have been numerous requests to add one for Java.
The consensus we have so far for the upcomming new client is to have the
following layering where the Qpid API is a major component.
proton-j --> Qpid API --> JMS
