No need to apologize, breaking things is an inevitable part of making
them better :) Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

I *really* hate libtool/automake. It's over-complicated and not at all
intuitive. I dream of the day we'll toss it and use cmake only (though I
may come to hate cmake after that...)
