The Dispatch Router can operate in one of three major modes. This enhancement
allows the mode to be configured in the configuration file and affects the
behavior of the router.
|| Mode || Description ||
| Standalone | The router acts as a single standalone router, forwarding
messages among its directly connected clients. A standalone router will not
participate in the discovery protocol and will not collaborate with other
routers. |
| Interior | The router acts as an interior router in a network of routers. It
will discover and collaborate with the other routers in the network. |
| Edge | The router will act as a connection concentrator with an uplink into a
network of interior routers. |
