This issue is somewhat rotten, when I try to reproduce with Proton 0.31.
1. The top level {{examples}} directory no longer exists, there are now example
directories under each of the bindings in the source tree. In the installed
file tree, the {{examples/<language>/...}} structure is still present, so this
is not a big problem.

2. There is issue PROTON-2233 which prevents us from running something like
{{cmake /usr/local/share/proton-0.27.0}}.
