I have seen similar problems as in GHA in ClearLinux. The rr debugger does not
work on GHA (due to CPU perf counters not being accessible). On ClearLinux, rr
did not help, the program was unable to find the record in the sasldb, but when
I wrote a C program that located the same key, that worked.
One common characteristics of broken envs (ClearLinux and GHA) is that hostname
!= hostname --fqdn, while on the working envs (my work laptop and docker) this
is the case. I did not look what is the situation on Travis...
