I feel, we should prioritize this task and make Kafka as one of the first class
supported destination for Ranger
There are two good reasons, one is security has been recently added to Kafka
0.9. The other reason is, this work will also benefit Apache Eagle project,
because they get the audit logs directly from Kafka. Currently, they have to
use the Kafka Log4j appender in Ranger and also manually push all the Kafka
libraries to each component...
