Henny Bekker commented on RAVE-90:
----------------------------------
At the mobile portal of RAVE (using Safari at an iPad-1 with ISO v5.1) the next
items needs some attention:
- At the login screen, the input-field "Identity" at the OpenID, extends out of
the gray box
- When logged on at a page (3 column - narrow/wide/narrow) with the "virtual
Hamster" [column1), "My Activity" and "Pet Hamster" (column2) and the
"Translate Gadget" (column3), the text in the gadget of the "virtual Hamster"
exceeds the boundaries.
- It appears that in certain conditions the screen layout keeps stuck in one
column. Switching it back to two or three columns does not fix the problem.
NB: It is not a problem of the mobile screen layout while it also happens at
the desktop layout (using Chrome 1.8.0.1023.163 at Mac OS Lion) without
manually moving the gadgets.
- The option menu of a gadget will come up right of the gadget. In a three
column mode, the option menu rolls off the screen. It thereafter should appear
left of the option menu.
- When a gadget is maximized (using the option menu) it cannot be easily
reduced to a 'normal' size. The icon with the two arrows cannot be selected
easily at the iPad ..
- When selecting the "Edit Preferences" option in the translation gadget, the
option fields exceeds the gadget frame.
- When in the profile-page, the text in the "Current Schedule" gadget exceeds
the frame.. (only when the gadgets are shown in a narrow column).
- When in the widget store, the search button is below the input field while it
could (should) be right of the input-field
- The active links of the gadget description is difficult to see..
NB: It is not a problem of the mobile screen layout while it also happens at
the desktop layout (using Chrome 1.8.0.1023.163 at Mac OS Lion)

> Rave portal layouts should perform well on mobile devices as well as tablets
> and portables. This can be achieved either using progressive enhancement and
> media queries, or by supplying a range of skins targeted at different device
> sizes.
> For an example of progressive-enhancement in a portal layout see:
