Next steps

Hello River folk,

What I had in mind next was to SVN move the existing trunk out of the 
way, then SVN move the modular branch to trunk, then SVN move other 
relevant code branches we wanted to keep into trunk as well.  Then 
finally we can ask INFRA to migrate us to git.

Please feel free to discuss or mention any ideas you have, or if you 
think it should be done a little differently.  I'd like to retain our 
SVN history when making the git transition, so we can track everything 
back to the original Sun Microsystems contribution in 2007.

For the next fortnight, I'll be in remote Queensland, so hoping to get 
some time over Christmas to get this done, and all help will be gladly 
welcomed.
