Hi RocketMQ Community,

Rocketmq-mqtt was developed to support the mqtt protocol to extend the
use of rocketmq in the field of IoT messaging. The project has
released version 1.0.2, which fully supports all features of the MQTT
3.1.1 protocol.

MQTT 5.0 was officially released in May 2018. In March 2019, MQTT 5.0
became the new OASIS standard. MQTT 5.0 has made major changes based
on MQTT 3.1.1 and is not backward compatible. It supports important
and flexible features such as shared subscriptions, session expiry,
message expiry, reason code and user properties, etc.

MQTT 5.0 is the most important protocol upgrade since MQTT 3.1.1 in
2014. Supporting MQTT 5.0 allows rocketmq-mqtt to adapt to the new
needs of industry development in recent years, and also makes protocol
preparations for the future development of the Internet of Things
industry.
