We've got the PMC votesnow and the announcement is all queued up, but
I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning to tally and release -- so
others have a chance to weigh-in

I downloaded the release files and verified them.

I did a full install including a fresh db, everything worked fine there.

I did some basic weblog testing including ...

  * posting new entries
  * adding and removing categories
  * adding and removing comments
  * changed weblog settings
  * updated weblog theme

I also verified that tags are working properly and I can enter tags and
then lookup entries by tag.

I verified that feeds by category are indeed working properly.

The tag cloud on the frontpage theme is working properly for me.

And I also verified that the theme files no longer contain the $entry
variable.

Everything seems good to me.
