Hi Piotr,

A release candidate goes on dist/dev, not dist/release. It gets moved to
dist/release after the vote. The Jenkins Release Steps should produce a
release candidate on dist/dev.

We want to minimize the amount of special setup for an RM. For sure you have
to be able to build with both Maven and Ant, and also PGP Sign artifacts, but I
think it is ok to skip having to run tests. When voting the voters should run
tests. So if you find that on the wiki there is some setup step that isn't
needed to build with Ant and Maven and PGP sign, great, but otherwise I think
most of those steps are still needed.

HTH,
-Alex

    Hi Alex,

I'm getting back to that. Again some questions:

I think you will need to set up your PC for most, if not all, of the steps

Above means that I don't need to setup my own PC fully, but just to be able
to build project, so could compare the results of build with what Jenkins
    produce ?
However you are saying later that you didn't setup step where there is
produced dist/release folder. What I got when I launch each of those step
    actually at the end ?
Before you answer me I will study and launch each of step on Jenkins to see
    what will happen.

    Thanks,
    Piotr
