The documentation about how to make a release is on the Confluence wiki at

I updated the notes to only generate sha512 checksums and updated the
relevant templates to only mention this checksum.
I created a Jira issue to update the website:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RYA-519

Thanks,
Adina

Thanks, Craig. Moving you to bcc.

Aaron -- are the steps to making a release doc'ed somewhere where they
could be updated with Craig's suggestions?

Glancing through the website and the user manual, I don't see an obvious
page covering the steps.

Hi,

I've approved this announcement, but I suggest a few improvements for
next time.

The download pages include links to md5 and sha1 checksums which are no
longer considered useful. I suggest removing these links and using the
sha512 that is already there.

Regards,

Craig

Subject: [ANNOUNCE] Apache Rya 4.0.0-incubating released
Date: July 29, 2019 at 8:21:59 AM PDT
To: annou...@apache.org

The Apache Rya (Incubating) team is happy to announce the release of
Apache Rya 4.0.0-incubating:

https://rya.incubator.apache.org/news/2019/07/27/release-4.0.0/ <
https://rya.incubator.apache.org/news/2019/07/27/release-4.0.0/>

Rya (pronounced "ree-uh" /rēə/) is a cloud-based RDF triple store that
supports SPARQL queries. Rya is a scalable RDF data management system built
on top of Apache Accumulo®. Rya uses novel storage methods, indexing
schemes, and query processing techniques that scale to billions of triples
across multiple nodes. Rya provides fast and easy access to the data
through SPARQL, a conventional query mechanism for RDF data.

Thanks,
The Apache Rya team

*Disclaimer*

Apache Rya (incubating) is an effort undergoing Incubation at The
Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Incubator. Incubation is
required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates
that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have
stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While
incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or
stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be
fully endorsed by the ASF.
