Thanks guys for the feedback. I need to get a few more details about the 
requirements before I have all of the information, but my hunch is that I will 
probably have two code paths. One code path will support standard signing using 
xmlsec and the other path will probably have to use jce or xslt/xmlsec to 
produce non-standard signing and validation code.
