Currently, SDAP only supports data with 2 spatial dimensions (lat & lon);
however, some users have expressed interest in using SDAP on datasets with an
additional dimension (height/depth/etc). This would be a major change requiring
alterations (likely) to all major SDAP subcomponents (CM, GI, Nexus, Proto).
