Shane Curcuru commented on SDAP-491:
------------------------------------

Unofficial comments from an ASF Member:

Nice logo ideas, and yes, as Julian notes, the overall design should be chosen
by consensus (or a vote), but minor updates like type of font for the TM
shouldn't require additional votes (normally).

Yes, the "TM" itself should probably use a standard/plain sans-serif font,
since it's more of a legal symbol than a part of the logo.  The ASF does need
trademark rights to the logo itself (so double-check with the artist they're
granting that), and we should assert the logo is our trademark by putting a TM
on it.

In terms of graphical formats, that's up to the project.  But it's definitely
helpful to have transparent background versions if possible; also useful to
have an SVG version when it's a fairly simple logo like this.

If you're trying to intentionally mirror the colors in the official ASF feather
logo (which is going to be changing in the future, BTW), then the ASF style
guide lists standards for the ASF logo itself (which are not required of
projects, but some projects like to mirror colors or the like).
