We've been avoiding GDAL as [L]GPL-licensed, but the issue was actually its
conda install including an LGPL library (geos). GDAL and its required
dependencies are MIT licensed and should be fine to have. We will probably need
to build from source to ensure we avoid any AL2.0-incompatible optionals.
