Hi Community,

This email will announce the conclusions of the discussion results
regarding the scope of the Seata repository transfer. We held a community
meeting on December 9th. The conclusions of the discussion can be reviewed
here: https://github.com/seata/seata/wiki/20231209.

Currently, the Seata organization (https://github.com/seata) contains
several projects:
seata
seata.github.io
seata-go
seata-workshop
seata-samples
seata-ctl
seata-k8s
seata-go-samples
seata-php
seata-js
seata-python
seata-go-server
awesome-seata
seata-benchmark
seata-test
community
seata-docker

The consensus from the meeting is to proceed with the transfer of the
following repositories to the ASF organization (https://github.com/apache):

seata -> incubator-seata
seata.github.io  -> incubator-seata.github.io
seata-go -> incubator-seata-go
seata-samples -> incubator-seata-samples
seata-ctl -> incubator-seata-ctl
seata-k8s -> incubator-seata-k8s
seata-go-samples -> incubator-seata-go-samples

This decision was reached after thorough consideration of the projects'
relevance to our ongoing evolution, their current state of maturity, and
the active involvement of core maintainers. Later this week, I will submit
a transfer ticket to the ASF infra team.

The remaining projects will not be transferred to the ASF organization,
owing to reasons such as limited significance in project evolution, project
immaturity, or a lack of core maintainers. To prevent any potential brand
conflicts, these repositories will be renamed. Our renaming strategy will
replace 'seata' as 'fescar'.

Thank you for your continued support and contributions to the Seata
community.

Warm regards,

Ji Min
