Hi all,

while going through your projects recent activity as part of my preparation for
today's board meeting, I had a look at your latest vote thread and must admit
that I had a bit of a problem verifying the votes. I know in the result email
you mentioned names that showed up in Whimsy, but in the vote for example I
couldn't find any connection of the name or email used in the vote email which
seems to have been counted as being sent from "Jia Fan".

These vote emails on the dev list is Apache's way of documenting the "acts of
the foundation", which is legally important for us. So in the future it should
be possible for someone outside of the project to review these and come to the
conclusion, that a release was indeed an act of the foundation. This would be
problematic in this case.

Could you please in the future be sure to also leave your apache id or the name
that we list in Whimsy in your votes?

Thanks,
   Chris
