I'm confused as to why we're reducing CI time by abandoning support
for some users.
We have an existing solution: migrating end-to-end test cases to unit
tests, which is also underway.

Isn't removing CI from JDK 11 a lazy approach? I've never heard of
abandoning support for newer versions in favor of supporting older
ones.

How did you arrive at the conclusion that there are more JDK 8 users
than JDK 11 users?
