Well, this took way longer to do than I had hoped. I'm planning to make a
series of smaller (relatively anyways) PRs to address linter issues. The first
set of several PRs will target small formatting issues in each of the modules,
and then additional PRs will come that target larger, or more structural
issues, for more serious consideration.
I'm in the process of separating out my commits in a larger experimental
branch, so the first PR should come in the next day or so.
