Hi,
I don't see anybody in 2025 hang out on IRC to answer questions, but
slack's notification system works for me
If there's support, I'm happy to setup a slack, and see if it works, if
it's only me, I'll just create one for svnplus and I'm happy to have
anybody there :)
In my opinion it should be hosted on the the-asf Slack workspace if it
should be an official channel. Still, we should have a commitment from the
community to be active on that workspace.
Kind regards,
Daniel
Sorry, but realistically I probably won't be active on a Slack workspace.
There are too many things to keep up with these days and I've found that in
other ASF communities that do use Slack, I had missed entire conversations.
Cheers,
Nathan
I concur. We have a mailing list, I see no reason for anything more
"informal" (as if the mailing list is formal...). It has always been our
policy that discussions happen here, on this list, or they didn't
happen. If that means one has to take an extra couple of minutes to
formulate a message, well, so much the better.
I, personally, have no interest in hanging out on Slack or IRC or
anywhere else. I don't need or want real-time discussions; I'm doing
this on and in my free time.
