In the servicemix-cxf-se case, I agree about properties, but I'm not sure about
attachments.
Attachments are usually part of the message for this component and you can
access them using mtom.
I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to allow passing attachments
untouched... do you have a use case for that or only for properties ?
