Hi Christian,

I'm using Git over SVN. The impact is not so high (but we have to update the POM around the scm entries, release tag, etc).

Here is some interesting blog:

Hello!

Guillaume, thanks for sharing this info with us.
I know many/most of the Camel committers use Git over SVN. This means this
could be interesting for us. I'm wondering what will happen after the
testing phase, if we have a negative outcome for Git? Or will we have a
positive outcome in each case and this testing phase is more or less to set
up the infrastructure at Apache?
Do we have significant advantages by using Git directly (not over SVN)?

Best,
Christian

While many of you are aware of the ongoing "experiment/alpha test"
with git hosting for CouchDB, you may not be aware of the recent
members@ discussion about git @ Apache, the result of which is to
solicit proposals here for projects interested in adopting git now,
rather than after the testing phase is over.

Any such projects you participate in should write a brief and civil
proposal as to why we should select you for further git testing.
Proposals should include statements of interest in assisting with
the git hosting codebase and associated jira issues from named
individuals on the project.

We'll allow the remainder of the week to collect proposals before
deciding on who gets to go next.
