Hi Glen, That's correct. We're now using Apache's SVN PubSub with a little file-based CMS I wrote.
The svn repo root: https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/shiro/site/ Editing/authoring is done in the trunk directory. Once done, someone runs SCMS (https://github.com/lhazlewood/scms) specifying the output directory to be the publish directory. Upon SVN commit to the publish diretory, the ASF infrastructure will make the new site available almost immediately on http://shiro.apache.org. I wrote SCMS before I was aware of Octopress (http://octopress.org/), which is awesome. I think it'd be better to use a widely-adopted tool like Octopress rather than SCMS (SCMS is quite nice actually, but the Octopress community is pretty large, implying better support/tutorials for it). I just haven't had the time to migrate to it yet.
