FWIW this matters when you use apache karaf features and then use the
LATEST version to get the latest version.

This means that 2.0.7-SNAPSHOT is LATER than 2.0.6 but 2.x-SNAPSHOT may
or may not be LATER (I'm not sure without trying).

(Also, there is a question of what to do about the Osgi-Version in
MANIFEST.MF for SNAPSHOT versions...?  What will maven-bundle-plugin
do...? (again not possible to know without trying))
