Thanks! I went away, we will see if this is an issue for some users.
The UTF-8 encoding is already specified in Maven pom.xml and in NetBeans project configurations. So at least the Maven build should be nice on every platforms.

I think that works OK for me. We can set svn:eol-style native, and also set text file encoding to UTF-8, I believe that would work.
