Hi Adam, Martin, In these cases, its totally the decoration of the release manager (Martin in this case). Do not worry about the board report obligation, board certainly understands how multiple RC iterations happen and will not mind. Board would like to get an idea on how the community if doing and active releases demonstrate it.
So both of these options are ok, marking this as a known issue and proceeding with the release or calling a new RC. Martin your call.
