Thanks for the link. By browsing a little bit their documentation, it
seems that CXF is compatible with HttpServlet [1] but does not force to
use it. Spring seems to have similar approach. Is there inconvenient in
extending HttpServlet even if the service is going to be used with CXF
or Spring framework? I presume that an advantage of extending
HttpServlet would be to enable usage in Tomcat or similar containers for
those who want it - is this assumption right?
