    I do not have any administrative power on Apache mailing lists.
      Requests for email deletion have to be sent to the Apache
      infrastructure team (link below). However such requests are
      granted only in exceptional circumstances. One reason is that the
      integrity of emails archive is very important to Apache working,
      since it is the way the foundation records its decisions. Another
      reason is that such deletion would be ineffective anyway: because
      of the wide use of Apache software, the Apache mailing lists are
      mirrored by universities and other organizations. Emails deleted
      from Apache servers are still visible in various mirrors
      worldwide, and Apache has no authority over the organizations
      doing those copies.
