Hi Martin, I use Riot at $work, but keep an eye on some rooms at the-asf.slack.com. Some times I have too many e-mails to read, and miss the vote threads. That's helpful to have a place where the release-manager can alert others.
The rooms I watch don't have a lot of activity, so it wouldn't be very hard to manage one more :) So I'd be in favor of a channel, at least for testing.
