Hi SkyWalking team We are sad to share, the 8.8.0 release has a very serious issue for ElasticSearch 6/7. We have located it and are trying to fix it[1].
We are failing to detect this issue because our e2e test framework is not running properly. And then, we are replacing them with the skywalking-e2e-infra, which could avoid this case. If you are using ElasticSearch or OpenSearch, please don't upgrade to 8.8.0 for now. We will release 8.8.1 as a patch release. The documentation and release link on the website are going to be removed.
