That's a useful idea. I wonder how we could work it out from what the AM 
registers with YARN. 

...OK, doesn't look like we can. The only info we register is: name, app-type 
(slider), IPC port and web URL.

We could stick it in the YARN registry, so it'd be visible without having to 
make an RPC/REST call. And it should be visible over those protocols too
