Steve Loughran commented on SLIDER-1060: ---------------------------------------- That's a useful idea. I wonder how we could work it out from what the AM registers with YARN. ...OK, doesn't look like we can. The only info we register is: name, app-type (slider), IPC port and web URL. We could stick it in the YARN registry, so it'd be visible without having to make an RPC/REST call. And it should be visible over those protocols too > Show application version for AM - useful during upgrade > ------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: SLIDER-1060 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SLIDER-1060 > Project: Slider > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Manoj Samel > Priority: Minor > > Output of commands like "slider list <app-name> --containers does not show > slider AM version. > During application upgrade / downgrade, as described in > https://slider.incubator.apache.org/docs/slider_specs/application_pkg_upgrade.html > , there is a notion of AM being on certain version. > It would be useful to show which version AM is on. > -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
