Yes, they are still legitimate and valid and distributed etc. We just
had to include the "incubator" tag while incubating to indicate, that
the artifact was created by an incubating Apache project.

No, we don't chop off the incubator tag of existing release artifacts.
And IMHO it doesn't matter whether there is an incubator tag in the
version or not.

But one after the other, we will now release versions without the
incubator tag and over time, this will solve itself...
