Felix Meschberger commented on SLING-1247:
------------------------------------------
Fixed in Rev. 891473: Instead of throwing a ResourceNotFoundException, which
was caught and caused the 500 status, the 404 status is now correctly set.
This applies to the delete as well the copy and move operations. For the latter
operations, the documentation must be adapted to also list the possible 404/NOT
FOUND status.
> SlingPostServlet returns 500 error instead of 404 when attempting to delete
> non-existent resource

> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SLING-1247
> Project: Sling
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Servlets
> Affects Versions: Servlets Post 2.0.4
> Environment: Ubuntu Linux, Standalone Sling 5
> Reporter: Andrew Khoury
> Assignee: Felix Meschberger
> Priority: Minor
>
> According to this documentation at:
> if a resource trying to be deleted through the SlingPostServlet is not found,
> the servlet should return a 404/Not Found status. It is instead returning a
> 500/Error status and raising an exception
