Resolution: Fixed
Changed the default in Rev. 1003842/1003843.
The versioning configuration properties now have the following defaults:
autoCheckout = false (previously: true)
checkinOnNewVersionableNode = false (unmodified)
private boolean autoCheckin = true (unmodified)
