Additivity and level are properties of the Logger instances and not of
appenders. So adding this kind of attributes to the loggers properties is bound
to create race conditions: Depending on which appender is first configured, the
logger will be differently configured.
I would take logging level and additivity completely out of the appender
service registration picture.
